We adhere to recognized medical guidelines to ensure your safety and the effectiveness of your treatment.

What causes hair loss?

Hair loss is a common condition affecting both men and women of varying ages. It can be the result of genetics, hormonal changes, medical conditions or medications.

The most common forms of hair loss include:

Androgenic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness) is a common form of hair loss for both men and women. Hair loss begins above the temples with the hairline receding over time into a M shape.

Alopecia areata is a condition where your immune system mistakenly attacks your hair follicles, causing patches of baldness, and, in certain cases, complete baldness.

Non-scarring alopecia causes diffuse hair shedding in adult women, which is usually a reaction to metabolic or hormonal stress, experienced during events such as childbirth, fever, major surgery or by medications. Although one experiences excessive shedding, there is no actual hair loss and it does not lead to baldness.
