Chemical Peels

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical solution is used to improve the quality and appearance of the skin. The outer damaged layers of skin are removed, revealing a fresher, more even skin tone and texture. By inducing a healing process in the skin, this treatment also stimulates new collagen synthesis, promoting skin rejuvenation and repair.

Superficial peels improve pigmentation, acne scars, mild sun damage and fine lines. They can also be used to prepare the skin for a deeper peel.

Medium peels treat wrinkles, pigmentation, more severe sun damage and pre-cancerous lesions.

Deep peels treat severe wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation and lesions on the skin.

Downtime

Downtime depends on the depth of the peel. Superficial peels have minimal to no downtime. You can expect peeling, dryness and redness for a few days after the peel. With medium and deep peeling systems it can take between 3-10 days for the skin to fully recover.

Avoid the sun wherever possible, and always apply good quality sun protection.

Maintenance
